Your First Transaction — Quick Start

Create your account in the Crypto.com App, secure it, add a funding method, and buy your first crypto. Start with CRO (recommended for Cronos ecosystem) or Bitcoin — keep it simple and small.

Set up & buy (custodial, easiest path)

  1. Install the Crypto.com App and complete KYC (ID verification).
  2. Secure your account: enable 2FA (Authenticator), set a strong passcode/biometric.
  3. Add a funding method: link bank (ACH), wire, or debit card.
  4. Decide your starter budget: many beginners start with $20–$50.
  5. Choose your first asset: CRO (fits the Cronos ecosystem you’ll use later) or BTC (most recognized). See the “Compare” box.
  6. Buy in app: tap the asset → Buy → amount → confirm. You’ll see fees and a “pending” state briefly.
  7. Verify it’s there: Home → Accounts > Crypto Wallet. Your new balance should appear.
  8. Optional: set price alerts on the asset screen (bell icon) to learn market rhythms.
  9. Document the basics: amount bought, fees, date/time — good habit for future tracking.
Keep it simple: This guide stops after your first buy. Self-custody and NFTs come later as optional next steps.
