Checklist

Account & Email

• Use a unique 14–20 char password for crypto accounts (no reuse).
• Prefer a password manager (recommended) — or use your OS keychain for now.
• Use a dedicated email or an alias like you+crypto@… to help filtering/recovery later.

2FA & Sign-in

• Turn on 2FA. Start with SMS (okay day one), then switch to an authenticator app within 7 days.
• Save backup codes in a safe place (paper or secure vault).
• Optional: enable biometrics on your device/app for convenience.

Wallets & Funding

• Install Crypto.com App and complete KYC (for buying CRO/BTC easily).
• If planning self-custody later, install Crypto.com DeFi Wallet (for CRO/Cronos) or another non-custodial wallet.
• When you create a wallet, write the seed on a physical Seed Phrase Card (never digital).
• Link ACH/debit and start with a small buy ($20–$50). Optionally do a $1 test first.
• For CRO self-custody sends, use the Cronos network (not Ethereum).

Safety Basics

• Bookmark official sites; avoid search ads and DM links.
• Double-check the network and address before every send.
• Never type/upload your seed phrase. Keep it on paper only.
